Methodology for Identifying the Cancerous Cells in 3D Visualization of Gastric Histopathology Images using CNN LSTM Algorithm
The ability to distinguish between normal and subtle changes in mucosal tissues is essential for histopathological results. These distinctions are based on the structural arrangement of glands, the intensity of nuclear staining, and the type of cells that form the lining. The pathologists' experience serves as the primary basis for diagnosis, which is an arbitrary process. The goal of this study is to improve quantitative diagnosis by automating the procedure through 3D reconstruction of gastric histology pictures. For clinical decision- making, it emphasizes the advantages of using 3D reconstruction from light microscope serial section images of the stomach compared to whole slide imaging. WSI scan processing and analysis are more costly than optical microscopy, according to comparative analysis. However, the limited focal depth of light microscopy makes 2D imaging difficult. The goal of this study is to emphasize the significance of layering sequential sections to convert 2D stomach pictures into 3D, particularly for thin sections. It will help differentiate between benign mimics and malignant glands by providing insights on glandular texture and volume. The article provides an overview and a comparison of the registration methods required for 3D histopathology picture reconstruction. It also recognizes the potential advantages of 3D histopathology reconstruction for researchers and talks about future possibilities in the discipline. When grading stomach cancer, pathologists may find this interesting.
