Electromagnetic Scattering Characteristics-Based Ship Damage Detection and Diagnosis

This paper focuses on the research of ship damage detection and diagnosis based on electromagnetic scattering characteristics. It elaborates on the damage risks that ships face during navigation and other processes, as well as the shortcomings of traditional detection methods. By constructing an electromagnetic scattering characteristic simulation model and using improved high - frequency simulation methods such as the Shooting and Bouncing Ray (SBR) and Iterative Physical Optics (IPO), the electromagnetic scattering characteristics of intact and damaged ships are simulated, and the damaged parts are diagnosed and analyzed. The correlation between the damage situation of ships and the changes in electromagnetic scattering characteristics is revealed, providing a new and effective way for ship damage detection.
