Enhanced Design of Rocker-Bogie Mechanism for All-Terrain Military Surveillance Rover
This paper presents an improved six-wheel rocker-bogie mechanism with passive suspension designed for enhanced mobility and stability in rough terrain applications. The rover's structural framework is constructed using an aluminum alloy, balancing weight efficiency and mechanical strength. Finite Element Analysis (FEA) conducted using Ansys validated the mechanical integrity of the design under dynamic loading conditions. The design and optimization processes were performed using SolidWorks, ensuring precision and manufacturability. The proposed system demonstrates superior adaptability to uneven terrains, minimizing chassis deformation and maintaining load distribution. This study highlights the integration of advanced design and analysis methodologies to achieve an effective and robust mechanism for planetary exploration and other rugged applications.
