Research on the Monitoring System and Method of Water Transmission Tower Settlement Based on Beidou Positioning Technology

A settlement monitoring system and method for water transmission towers based on Beidou positioning technology are proposed to meet the demand for settlement monitoring of water transmission tower structures. This method uses a high-precision Beidou receiver to collect real-time spatial position information of water transmission towers, and uses Kalman filtering and real-time kinematic difference (RTK) technology for data preprocessing and error correction, achieving high-precision structural settlement monitoring. Through on-site experiments, the accuracy of system settlement monitoring has reached millimeter level, verifying the effectiveness and reliability of this method. The experimental results show that this method can effectively improve the safety monitoring capability of water transmission towers, which is of great significance for improving the level of infrastructure safety management.
