Differential Amplifier Optimization using Black Widow Algorithm
Analog circuit design is a complex task that often involves optimizing multiple conflicting objectives. The differential amplifier optimization is important in analog circuit design for high gain, large bandwidth, and low power consumption. The conventional manual tuning process is cumbersome and does not yield globally optimal solutions. In this research, the Black Widow Optimization Algorithm (BWO) is used to automate the transistor sizing and optimize the performance of a differential amplifier. BWO, motivated by the cannibalism of the black widow spiders, combines basic evolutionary mechanisms such as crossover, mutation, and selection to optimally tune circuit parameters.
