Research on the Influence of Inhomogeneous Magnetic Fields on Output Characteristics of MOCT
Linear birefringence and the problem of non-uniform distribution of the magnetic field along the optical path of the medium objectively exist, which complicates the model of the optical medium. If the uniform model is still used to sense the current, there will be a certain degree of approximation, affecting the sensing accuracy of the optical current transformer. In this chapter, based on the Jones matrix model of the induction non-uniform medium, the formula for the output optical intensity of the observation optical path of the optical current transformer is further derived to clarify the essence of the magnetic field sensing of the Faraday magneto-optic effect. By conducting a simulation comparison of the output magnetic field sensing components based on the induction non-uniform model and the uniform model, the influence of the non-uniform magnetic field on the sensing characteristics of the optical current transformer is deeply analyzed.
