Optimizing Cs-Perovskite Performance through Defect Optimization: SCAPS-1D Simulation Study
Perovskite solar cells—have become a viable option for next-generation solar power systems because of their high efficiency and inexpensive production methods. The existence of defects in the PSKs layer, which affects the PSCs' device performance, is one of the primary challenges to its broad commercialization. This study takes into account PSCs based on Cs. by using the SCAPS-1D tools and simulation techniques to systematically regulate the BDDs inside the PSKs layer. This shows a strong link between BDD and the device’s performance metrics, including VOC, JSC, FF, and PCE. According to this study, a decrease in BDDs improves the device’s VOC, JSC, FF, and PCE. This work offers insightful information that may be used to optimize Cs-PSCs for longer-term stability and greater efficiencies, improving their economic feasibility for widespread use in renewable energy applications. Pollution is reduced and clean environmental conditions are developed as a result of the advancement of renewable energy applications. The optimization of the designed solar cell is done on low BDD. The optimized result of the it as follow; VOC: 1.105 V, JSC: 36.05 mA/cm3, FF: 88.24 % and PCE: 35.16%.
