Power Restoration Strategy Considering the Coupling of Physical, Information, and Transportation Networks under Ice and Snow Disasters

Most accidents in distribution networks are caused by natural disasters, among which ice and snow disasters inflict particularly severe damage. Although such events are of low probability, their impacts can be far-reaching once they occur. Therefore, developing scientific and effective strategies for emergency repair and restoration optimization is essential for enhancing post-disaster power restoration efficiency in distribution networks. This paper proposes a power restoration strategy for distribution networks under ice and snow disaster scenarios, incorporating situational assessment and the coupling of physical, information, and transportation networks. First, a model is developed to evaluate the impact of extreme ice and snow conditions on line failure rates, enabling the prediction of failure probabilities for each line in the distribution network. Then, by considering the coupling relationships among the power grid, communication network, and transportation network, the Dijkstra algorithm is employed to solve the fault repair and power restoration optimization model for the distribution network after an ice and snow disaster. Finally, the scientific validity and effectiveness of the proposed method are verified using a modified IEEE 33-bus test system.
