Vibration Analysis of Lock Gate Motors Based on a Secondary Decomposition Algorithm

During long-term operation of lock gate motors, abnormal vibrations in hydraulic linkage motor bearings can be caused by pad wear, insufficient lubrication, or loosening due to vibration. These vibrations not only reduce operational efficiency and damage equipment structures but may also lead to safety hazards during high-speed operation. To accurately predict abnormal motor vibrations, this paper introduces linear and nonlinear transient hybrid models to collect motor vibration signals and extract abnormal components. After initial noise reduction and decomposition, a secondary decomposition method is applied to process the signals, enabling effective diagnosis of motor vibration faults. Simulation experiments using operational data from a lock gate motor demonstrate the strong predictive performance of the proposed method for abnormal vibrations.
