Design of an Innovative MPPT Technique for Photovoltaic System under Changing Solar Irradiation Profiles

The quest for efficiency in solar power systems is a critical challenge, particularly given the variable nature of solar irradiation. The work on developing a MPPT methodology is a significant contribution to this field. By focusing on reducing oscillations and enhancing dynamic responsiveness, our approach addresses the key issues faced by conventional MPPT methods under rapidly changing weather conditions. The integration of an initial duty cycle determination with an adaptive step size computation is an innovative strategy that promises to stabilize the power output close to the MPP. The use of Matlab/Simulink for simulation is a robust choice, allowing for a detailed analysis of the system's performance under different irradiation patterns. The impressive results, indicating a near 99 percent efficacy in tracking the MPP, suggest that method could greatly improve the reliability and efficiency of solar panels. This could lead to more sustainable energy solutions that are less dependent on weather conditions and more adaptable to the varying demands of power consumption.
