Analysis of Solar PV System Incorporating MPPT and Performance Examination of P&O and Fuzzy Logic Methodology
The use of solar photovoltaic (PV) electricity has increased significantly as an eco-friendly and renewable energy resource. Power electronic circuit design must employ sophisticated Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) algorithms in order to maximize power extraction through photovoltaic (PV) systems. However, there are several obstacles to the broad adoption of PV systems, including their high initial prices and very low energy conversion efficiency. Improving energy efficiency requires making sure photovoltaic systems are always operating at maximum power. This study assesses and contrasts how well the Fuzzy Logic Control (FLC) technique and the Perturb and Observe (P&O) method manage duty cycles. The findings show that FLC is more resilient to changing circumstances, detecting the maximum power point more quickly and reducing oscillations to increase overall efficiency. These results are carefully validated by the Simulink simulations, which also support the findings' accuracy and dependability. This study emphasizes how sophisticated MPPT methods can be used to improve energy extraction efficiency in PV systems and solve underlying problems.
