Information Connections in the Processes of Organization of Archive Documents

The relevance of the article. The creation of electronic archives and the integration of archival resources into national and international information networks contribute to strengthening information connections between archives, users, and information systems. The purpose of the research. Study of manifestations of archival institutionalization of information connections and the features of their functioning in the context of processes of organizing archival documents. The methodology. Content analysis was used to identify trends in the institutionalization and functioning of information connections. Visualization techniques were used to reveal the attribution and functionality of information connections within the documentary process. The results. The specifics of the institutionalization of information relations in terminological, ontological, and functional aspects and the features of their implementation in the context of archival description, concepts of forming classifica-tion systems of archival funds, and the use of archival information are investigated. The scientific novelty. A multi-level model of information connections of archival documents has been developed. The practical significance. Preserving informational links between documents is the foundation for research, management, and preservation of scientific and cultural heritage. The conclusion. Information links are a fundamental characteristic of the structure of the information space of the archive, ensure the integrity of the documentary context, preserve institutional memory, and contribute to effective access and use of resources. Information links of archival documents are realized at the structural and technological levels, which indicates their multidimensionality and functionality. They are characterized by a number of features that consolidate archival documents as objects of knowledge in the archival information space. Information links as a tool for ensuring the integrity of archival documents are a prerequisite for the connectivity of the archival array, especially in the digital environment. Functional classification is the main methodological apparatus for systematizing archival funds, which allows you to effectively implement logical, semantic, and hierarchical information links between documents, and form a structured model of the archive information space. Information connections form the basis of conceptual approaches to the development of classification systems for archival documents and are an important component of the implementation of digital technologies in archival work.
