The Influence of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) Model Assisted by Video Media on Student Learning Outcomes in the IPAS Subject for Fifth Grade at SD Inpres 5 Birobuli

This study aims to determine the effect of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model assisted by video media on student learning outcomes in the Science and Social Studies (IPAS) subject for Grade Five at SD Inpres 5 Birobuli. The research method used is Quasi-Experimental Research with a Nonequivalent (Pretest and Posttest) Control Group Design. The sample consisted of 58 students, including 29 students in the experimental class who were taught using the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model assisted by video media, and 29 students in the control class who were taught using conventional methods assisted by image media. Data collection was carried out through observation and a multiple-choice test consisting of 20 questions that had been validated and found reliable. Data analysis was conducted using prerequisite tests, namely the normality test and homogeneity test, as well as hypothesis testing using the Independent Sample T-Test with the help of SPSS version 30. The results of the study indicate that the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model assisted by video media has an effect on students' learning outcomes. This is evident from the results of the Independent Sample T-Test, which showed a two-tailed significance value (p) of 0.001. The T-Test results indicate that the two-tailed significance value (p) < 0.05, thus Hₒ is rejected and Hₐ is accepted. It can be concluded that the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model assisted by video media is effective and has a significant impact on student learning outcomes in the IPAS subject for Grade Five at SD Inpres 5 Birobuli. The Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model assisted by video media is feasible to be used as an effective alternative learning approach to significantly improve student learning outcomes.
