The results of this study show that the factors that cause low student motivation to learn in the fifth grade of SD Inpres 2 Besusu are divided into two categories, namely internal and external factors. Internal factors include 1) Lack of desire to succeed, 2) Lack of motivation and need to learn, and 3) Weak expectations and aspirations of students. Meanwhile, external factors include 1) Uninteresting learning activities, 2) Lack of appreciation or appreciation from teachers, and 3) Less conducive learning environment. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the low motivation of students to learn is influenced by a combination of internal and external factors, so there is a need for efforts to improve the learning approach, create a more supportive learning environment, and provide more consistent rewards to increase student learning motivation in the fifth grade of SD Inpres 2 Besusu.
