Development of a Transformative Learning Model Based on Marosok Local Wisdom for Strengthening Entrepreneurship Character of Junior High School Students in Sijunjung Regency: An Effectiveness Test Analysis

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of a transformative learning model based on Marosok local wisdom in strengthening the entrepreneurship character of public junior high school students in Sijunjung Regency. The background of this research is based on the limited integration of local wisdom values in Social Studies learning, particularly in shaping a contextual and relevant entrepreneurship character for students' lives. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the Borg & Gall model, which includes stages such as model validation through focus group discussions and expert reviews, limited trials, broader trials, and effectiveness testing through both quantitative and qualitative instruments. This article specifically presents the results of the model's effectiveness test using t-tests and ANOVA. The findings indicate that the learning model integrates the principles of transformative learning—namely reflection, dialogue, and direct learning experiences—with Marosok cultural values such as honesty, responsibility, cooperation, and work ethic. The results show a significant improvement in entrepreneurship character in the experimental group compared to the control group, based on both cognitive test results and attitude questionnaires. In addition, the model has also been proven to enhance student engagement, critical thinking skills, and entrepreneurial behavior through project-based learning. Statistical analysis using t-tests and ANOVA reinforces the finding that this model is effective in improving entrepreneurship character through contextual and culturally grounded Social Studies learning. This study contributes to the development of innovative learning models that are culturally responsive and supports holistic character education at the junior high school level.
