The Implementation of the Index Card Match Method to Improve Students’ Ability in Using Interrogative Sentences in the Second Grade of SD Inpres Taipa Ginggiri

This class action research aims to improve students' ability to use question sentences through the application of the Index Card Match (ICM) learning method. The research was carried out in grade II of SD Inpres Taipa Ginggiri, Palu City, in the odd semester of the 2024/2025 school year. The research subjects amounted to 20 students, consisting of 12 males and 8 females. The research was conducted in two cycles, each of which included the stages of planning, implementation of actions, observation, and reflection. Data collection techniques use tests, observations, and documentation. In the first cycle, student learning completeness reached 45% with classical absorption of 65.2%. After improvements were made in cycle II, learning completeness increased to 75% with classical absorption of 75.7%. Teacher activity increased from 74.6% to 82%, and student activity from 69.3% to 80.6%. The results of the study show that the Index Card Match method is effective in improving learning outcomes and student involvement, especially in understanding and using question sentences. This method creates a fun, interactive learning atmosphere and encourages active student participation.
