Persona jurídica y fines caritativos: la influencia del cristianismo y de la doctrina canónica en el concepto de personalidad jurídica
Unlike in classical antiquity, the Church has, since its origins, shown a particular concern for the poor dictated by the need to remain faithful to the mission received from its divine founder. Over time, Church structures have also evolved to ensure charitable service to those most in need. During the Middle Ages, the need to give continuity to charitable works led canonists to develop the juridical person’s concept. The institute thus represents a concrete example of how the Gospel message has been transformed into legal forms and institutions.
