TRANSFORMATION OF WORKFORCE COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS IN A HYBRID WORK ENVIRONMENT

The study substantiates the necessity of transforming personnel competency requirements in hybrid work environments due to the digitalization of business processes, automation, and evolving organizational models. The hybrid format of work, combining remote and on-site tasks, requires a fundamental revision of human resource management (HRM) strategies, emphasizing adaptability, digital proficiency, and resilience. The research proposes a conceptual competency model, structured across three levels – basic, advanced, and expert – ensuring a systematic approach to competency development in response to evolving job demands. The model differentiates eight key competency groups, encompassing technical, cognitive, communication, emotional-psychological, innovative, social-environmental, leadership, and ethical-legal aspects. The study provides a detailed analysis of competency transformations within industrial enterprises, where hybrid work challenges traditional workforce structures by integrating digital and physical operations. It demonstrates that traditional HRM approaches are insufficient for addressing modern workforce challenges and highlights the necessity of developing flexible competency frameworks that align with dynamic labor market demands. A comparative analysis of workforce competency models reveals a lack of integration between digital transformation strategies and human capital development in existing HRM approaches. The study establishes that hybrid work requires redefined professional development models, incorporating digital HR analytics, AI-driven learning systems, and adaptive talent management practices. The scientific novelty of the research lies in the development of an integrated competency framework, which systematically aligns competency levels with workforce engagement in hybrid industrial settings. Unlike existing studies that focus primarily on remote work adaptation, this research highlights the intersection of digital transformation, industrial workforce dynamics, and competency evolution, offering a comprehensive HRM strategy tailored to hybrid work realities. The findings provide a foundation for further research into AI-based competency assessments, personalized digital training systems, and organizational models that facilitate seamless integration of hybrid work environments into industrial enterprises.
