Functional aspects of marketing provision of economic security of an enterprise in the digital age

This article aims to provide theoretical justification and systematization of the functional aspects of marketing support in ensuring enterprises’ economic security under digital transformation conditions. The study uses methods of analysis, generalization, and systematization of scientific sources, as well as a structural-functional approach, to identify the role of marketing support within the economic security system of enterprises. It has been established that modern marketing performs several strategically important functions – informational, analytical, reputational, client-oriented, communicative, innovation-adaptive, and strategic-coordinating – all of which strengthen the enterprise’s resilience to internal and external risks. The scientific novelty of the study lies in substantiating marketing as a key functional component of an integrated enterprise security system under the influence of digital transformation. The article proves that marketing no longer acts solely as a promotional tool but evolves into a strategic management resource capable of identifying, preventing, and neutralizing risks in a rapidly changing digital environment. The structural-functional analysis of the identified marketing functions demonstrates their potential to form a comprehensive mechanism for risk management, enhance competitive positioning, and ensure adaptive capacity in crisis conditions. The practical significance of the research lies in the possibility of using its findings to develop effective risk management strategies and implement marketing innovations to strengthen enterprise economic security in the face of digital challenges. The results can be applied in strategic planning, reputation management, customer loyalty programs, and digital communication development. Future research should focus on assessing the effectiveness of implementing these functions within specific business models, with special attention to the impact of marketing innovations on improving enterprise resilience in volatile markets. Keywords: economic security, marketing support, digital transformation, marketing functions, risk management.
