The organization of extracurricular physical education activities is gaining particular relevance in modern society, where there is a growing trend toward reduced physical activity among students. Hypodynamia, caused by a sedentary lifestyle, is a risk factor for the development of many diseases such as obesity, cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, osteoporosis, and others. Therefore, research into modern forms of organizing extracurricular physical education activities is essential for developing and implementing effective strategies aimed at promoting health and establishing a healthy lifestyle among young people in higher education. The article defines contemporary forms of organizing extracurricular physical education activities and examines various formats and approaches used to conduct sessions that not only promote physical skill development but also positively impact overall physical development, psychological well-being, and social adaptation of students. Special attention is given to modern forms of extracurricular physical education such as sports sections and clubs for various sports (football, basketball, volleyball, badminton, fitness, table tennis, dance), sports competitions, mass sports events (health days, quests, cross-country races, charity runs), hiking trips, integrated sessions (combining physical exercises with elements of other types of activities), projectbased activities (developing and implementing sports projects, creating posters, videos), online platforms, and mobile applications offering exercise routines, virtual training, and other interactive tools. The authors emphasize the importance of extracurricular physical education in shaping a healthy and successful personality. They highlight its impact on health promotion and disease prevention, the development of physical qualities (strength, agility, endurance, speed, and flexibility), stress reduction and emotional balance, the formation of a healthy lifestyle, socialization and communication, increased self-esteem and self-confidence, as well as organizing leisure and meaningful free-time activities.
