Boosting the HER/OER bifunctional electrocatalytic activity of Ni–Cu alloy via water-containing deep eutectic solvent system

A bifunctional Ni–Cu/CF catalyst electrode were developed via one-step electrodeposition within a water-containing ChCl/EG DES system. The electrode showed efficient water-splitting performance, requiring a low cell voltage of 1.86 V at 50 mA cm −2 .
