ON TEACHING MATHEMATICS IN A TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY: RECIPES OF SCIENTISTS
The principles of the research work of some of the largest scientists, including those who have achieved great success in engineering, are considered, coming from the essence of a mathematically modeled process. The usefulness of studying such principles within the framework of a historical approach to the presentation of methods for solving practical problems is noted. The general concept of the curriculum involves alternating theoretical lectures and practical classes of applied orientation with reference to the history of the subject and taking into account the engineering specialization of students.
