A MATHEMATICAL MODEL OF ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE BASED ON THE CURRENT RATING AND ENTRANCE TEST

The aim of our study is to quantify the observed qualitative changes in the effectiveness of different forms of learning. The task of evaluating the effectiveness of entrance and current control is solved by regression analysis methods. A linear regression model is proposed for calculating the current student rating in mathematical disciplines, designed to monitor student activity during the semester and to forecast the final exam mark. The developed models demonstrate weak feasibility of mass controlling forms without individual assessment. Despite the positive correlation coefficients with the final exam mark, the results of entrance and thematic tests in mathematics make an unexpectedly small contribution to the total amount.
