EXPERIENCE OF HOLDING THE OMSK STATE TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY STUDENT MATHEMATICAL OLYMPIAD

The article describes the experience of the annual Olympiad in mathematics, held among students of Omsk State Technical University (2015-2024), the goals of its holding are determined, considers issues related to the organization, criteria for evaluating works, and provides an analysis of the results. The purpose of the study is to determine the impact of mathematics olympiads on the quality of student training and their interest in the discipline. It has been established that the Mathematics Olympiad for university students helps to increase the interest of students in studying mathematical disciplines, to identify the most capable students, and students to evaluate their own mathematical knowledge and skills. An analysis of the results of the Olympiad showed an approximate preservation of the basic level of students' education, taking into account the coronavirus pandemic.
