ABOUT THE PROBLEMS OF TEACHING MATHEMATICS IN THE JUNIOR COURSES OF MATHEMATICAL AND TECHNICAL FACULTIES OF UNIVERSITIES
The article is devoted to the urgent issue of improving the quality of mathematical education in technical and classical universities. Using the example of a specific propaedeutic course "Introduction to the Set Theory and Logical Symbolism", the ways of adapting to the further learning process of junior courses’ students in mathematical and technical fields are considered. Examples of various forms of classroom organization and knowing level control are given, which stimulate the development of students' internal learning motivation and contribute to the formation of abstract mathematical thinking at the initial stage of their education.
