Real-Time Soft Error Mitigation System for SRAM-Based FPGAs
In space radiation environments, FPGA applications are susceptible to radiation effects. The traditional global scrub strategy can effectively eliminate the impact of soft errors but may lead to design pauses. In this paper, we first propose an error mitigation technology using Hamming Code which can repair soft errors in real time without pausing and can classify error types based on key bits. Then, a real-time soft error mitigation system is designed using this technology. The experiment shows that our system can effectively harden the design.
