Effective Production Planning With Recycling, Waste Reduction and Energy Efficiency Strategies
Incorporating scrap recycling and energy costs into production planning is a strategic approach that requires in-depth analysis, precise definition of objectives, organized implementation and rigorous monitoring. The decision to focus on reducing energy costs or incorporating recycling depends on a number of factors specific to each company, such as its sector of activity, production methods, current costs and available opportunities. By implementing these methods, companies can improve their economic performance while making a positive contribution to preserving the environment. In this work we propose a mathematical programming model for production planning considering scrap recycling and the associated energy costs.
