An Artificial Bee Colony Algorithm for the Home Health Care Planning Problem
The Home Health Care Planning Problem entails optimizing the routes of healthcare providers to deliver services to patients in their homes, in order to maximize the overall benefits obtained while taking into various factors including workload, patient requirements, scheduling slots, and available resources. This paper proposes an artificial Bee Colony algorithm adapted to solve the home health care planning problem. The artificial Bee Colony algorithm, based on honey bee foraging behavior, is suitable for optimization problems. Our goal is to use metaheuristic techniques to create a tool that solves the home care planning problem and provides a set of feasible solutions Our work has led to the design of an application for healthcare professionals using the metaheuristic method. The computational results on real datasets and the literature instance indicate that our proposed algorithm is efficacy and efficient.
