Research on the Visual Design of Dialect Digitalization from the Perspective of Embodied Cognition

Under the impact of globalization and digitalization, the cultural continuation of local dialects is facing a crisis of discontinuity and digital opportunities. This article takes the theory of embodied cognition as the starting point, analyzes the symbolic features and cultural metaphors of dialects, and explores how to activate the multi-sensory cognitive experience of dialects through digital visual design, breaking through the predicament of “separation of audio and visual” and “lack of context”in traditional media. This study combines the dynamic interaction mechanism of “body-environment-cognition ”in embodied cognition, proposes three design principles of “dynamic symbol translation”, “contextualized body interaction” and “emotional memory triggering”, constructs a theoretical model of digital visual design for dialects, provides an innovative path of “technology empowerment + cognitive empathy”, explains how the theory of embodied cognition empowers the digital visual expression of dialect culture through multi-sensory interaction, contextualized design and other paths, solves the problems of sensory loss and cultural identity in traditional dialect dissemination, and provides theoretical references for the dynamic inheritance of intangible cultural heritage and cross-disciplinary design research.
