Ai-Driven Terminals: Advances in Intent Recognition, Multimodal Interaction, and AI Collaboration

Intelligent terminals are evolving from isolated functional devices to digital entities with autonomous cognition and collaborative capabilities. This paper systematically explores emerging trends in intelligent terminals, including user intent recognition powered by large-scale AI models, multimodal intelligent interaction, novel AI-agent architectures, and crossdevice collaborative ecosystems. First, we analyze how advances in terminal hardware, such as chip process enhancements and heterogeneous computing, are driving AI at the edge. Second, we discuss how software innovations make it possible to deploy large models on end devices and mention privacy protection issues. Finally, we propose future directions for intelligent terminals, focusing on the development of self-evolving intelligent ecosystems to enable a new paradigm of human-machine symbiosis.
