BUSINESS RISKS IN CONDITIONS OF MILITARY THREATS AND THEIR MANAGEMENT
The article examines the nature of business risks in the context of military threats, characterizes their main types and sources. The concept of risk management is systematized as a process of systematic identification, assessment, analysis and management of possible risks that may affect the company's performance. Risk management methods involve not only preventing negative consequences from the occurrence of risks, but also transforming risks into opportunities. Particular attention is paid to risk management tools and strategies in an unstable security environment. Modern challenges for business in Ukraine as a result of a full-scale war are identified and recommendations for adapting business activities to conditions of increased turbulence are substantiated. The features of the classification and assessment of risks in crisis conditions are analyzed, in particular, it is revealed that the modern approach to their management should be interdisciplinary, adaptive and anti-crisis. The specific business risks that Ukrainian enterprises faced during the war are characterized. Such risks include: security risks, mobilization risks, logistical risks, and asset loss risks. Business risks during war are multidimensional and non-standard in nature, which requires an anti-crisis, flexible, and innovative approach to their identification, assessment, and management. In wartime, effective risk management becomes not only a matter of efficiency, but also of business survival. It is proposed to use scenario planning tools, risk maps, risk portfolios, and digital technologies to flexibly respond to threats. It also outlines practical steps that Ukrainian enterprises are already implementing to maintain resilience: relocation, diversification, digitalization, and financial restructuring. The study concluded that the features of business risks that arose during the war consist in a profound transformation of the external business environment and the emergence of specific threats that were not inherent in peacetime. The proposed approaches to business risk management can become the basis for developing new strategies for sustainable business development in the war and post-war period.
