Survey of rhizospheric and non rhizospheric soil fungi on ginger fields from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar district

Ginger (Zingiber officinale Rosc.) belongs to the family Zingiberaceae. It is most important cash crop of Marathwada especially in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar district. During recent years various diseases are damaging ginger which is directly affecting the productivity of this crop. The present study deals with the survey of rhizospheric and non rhizospheric soil. Fungi of ginger fields were carried out from the 15th June-2023 to 20th Oct.2023 at Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar district. All together 12 fields were studied and it is observed that in non rhizospheric Aspergillus, Penicillium, Trichoderma this were dominant. In rhizospheric soil of ginger fields species viz., Aspergillus, Fusarium, Penicillium, Cladosporium were dominant species.
