Lip Reading System for Hearing Impaired using YOLO Algorithm
Lip reading, a method of interpreting spoken words by analyzing lip movements, represents a complex yet promising frontier in artificial intelligence (AI) and computer vision. Recent advancements in deep learning, particularly the YOLO (You Only Look Once) algorithm, have significantly enhanced real-time object detection and recognition capabilities. This paper examines how YOLO can be applied in lip reading systems, discussing its strengths, implementation methodologies, challenges, and future potential. By utilizing YOLO’s rapid and precise detection features, the goal is to enhance the performance and dependability of Lip Reading Systems (LRS), ultimately broadening their applicability in assistive technologies and related domains.
