Chaos is disorder and confusion in cosmology (Based on “Kitabi-Dede Gorgud” and “Koroghlu”)
This article examines the concept of chaos in cosmology and mythology, analyzing its overview of chaos as depicted in Ancient Greek, Scandinavian, Egyptian, Mesopotamian, Chinese, Indian, and Turkic mythological systems.Special emphasis is placed on the representation of and social disorder.Using The Book of Dede Korkut and Koroghlu epics as primary examples, the paper explores how social and spiritual chaos is poetically expressed through images, motifs, and narrative structures.Chaos is interpreted not only as a cosmogonic condition but also as a form of social-cultural disorder, which is eventually overcome through heroes and creative divine forces.
