The logic of physical law verification and the methodology of revolutionary technology development
The logic of physical law verification as well as the methodology of revolutionary technology development were examined. It is discovered that physical law can only be proved true through the combination of physical experiment verification and logical experiment verification, physical experiment verification is the necessary condition for proving a physical law true, but not the sufficient condition for proving a physical law true, physical experiment falsification is the sufficient condition for disproving a physical law, but not the necessary condition for disproving a physical law. That is, a physical law must be proved true in both physical experiment verification and logical experiment verification before becoming a real physical law for the present time, conversely, if a physical law is disproved by either one physical experiment or one logical experiment, it does not hold true anymore. Therefore, the double-half verification law which states that a physical law is verified only if both physical experiments and logical experiments confirm its validity is proposed for verifying physical law.In the verification process, the physical experiment verification is a half, the logical experiment verification is the other half of the verification process. The physical experiment verification is a necessary condition, the logical experiment verification is another necessary condition, and the combination of them is the sufficient and necessary conditions for physical law verification.Additionally, the methodology of eight approaches to efficiently develop revolutionary technologies is also proposed.
