Motivación para la ejercitación y estilo de vida en estudiantes del deporte curricular Universitario
This Study analyzes the factors that motivate students at the University of Sonora to develop exercise habits and adopt healthy lifestyle. The participants were 75 students (53 women and 22 men). Enrolled in the curricular sports program. A quantitative, exploratory, and cross-sectional Approach was employed, and data were collected through a questionnaire administered via Google Forms. The data were processed using SPSS v.26. The results reveal that most students engage in physical activity three to four days per week, for 60 to 120 minutes at moderate intensity. They report consuming three healthy meals per day and sleeping between six and eight hours. Intrinsic motivations vary by gender and the extrinsic motivations are similar for both genders. In general, students do not meet the minimum physical activity recommendations proposed by the WHO.
