Parameterization of the generalized field theory
In this work, a new unified field theory for gravity and electromagnetism is constructed in the context of the parameterized absolute parallelism geometry. The new field theory can be categorized as a pure geometric field theory and can be considered as a generalization of a theory called in the literature by the generalized field theory constructed in 1977 [F. I. Mikhail and M. I. Wanas, A generalized field theory I: Field equations, Proc. R. Soc. Lond. A 365 (1977) 471–481]. Three types of analysis processes of the validity of the theory are derived in order to define the physical contents of the theory. Poisson’s equation has been obtained for both material and charge distribution from the field equation of the theory in the linearization scheme. Schwarzschild exterior solution in free space is obtained from the field equation of the theory. Some comments and concluding remarks are singled out.
