Dynamical fluctuations of π±, K± in pp, p–Pb and Pb–Pb collisions at sNN = 2.76 TeV using AMPT model

The paper investigates the bin–bin correlation of the charged particles ([Formula: see text]) in pseudo-rapidity space using factorial correlator in [Formula: see text], p–Pb and Pb–Pb interactions at [Formula: see text] 2.76 TeV. Final outcome shows a strong correlation with decreasing bin–bin separation (D) in pseudorapidity phase space in the region [Formula: see text], [Formula: see text], [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text] for bin width [Formula: see text] and 0.3, respectively. These studies support the validity of [Formula: see text]-normal approximation and [Formula: see text] model for particle production in case of [Formula: see text], p–Pb interactions but the log-normal approximation and the predictions from [Formula: see text] model are violated in Pb–Pb collisions. The data, simulated by AMPT model, demonstrate the strength of the correlation is sufficiently large for [Formula: see text] interactions but for heavy ion interactions (i.e., p–Pb and Pb–Pb), we have observed a decrease in correlation strength and specially in the case of Pb–Pb, we found that the correlation strength is significantly reduced. Moreover, this work provides a reference baseline to compare with the experimental data.
