LA DÉCOLONISATION DU SUJET : LE PRIX DE LA LIBERTÉ
Abstract: This article examines the mechanism of colonial domination in order to deconstruct it. True decolonization is a long process of disalienation of colonized peoples. It consists in freeing the colonized from their own chains of thought, which were introduced by colonialism. More precisely, it involves decolonizing the mind of the colonized, i.e. their mentality. Decolonizing the subject, the logos or the mind also means decolonizing the education system and the languages of instruction in the former colonies, since the school is a state ideological apparatus, i.e. a means of disseminating ideology available to the state. Decolonization is thus a long and serious process of reappropriating one's own history and culture. Key words: Colonization, domination, decolonization, freedom, independence
