Research on the Credit Expansion Effect of the “Enjoy First, Pay Later” Model on E-Commerce Platforms

With the rapid development of e-commerce, the “enjoy first, pay later” model has become an important force in promoting consumer and financial innovation. This article aims to study its credit expansion effect, analyze its operational mechanism, positive effects, and risks, and propose preventive strategies. Through theoretical analysis and case studies, combined with e-commerce platform data and financial institution cooperation models, this study explores the impact of this model on consumption growth, market expansion, financial innovation, and resource allocation. The results indicate that “enjoy first, pay later” significantly promotes consumption and market development by lowering the consumption threshold, enhancing consumer confidence, attracting new users, and increasing stickiness; Its innovative credit evaluation and financial products have also expanded the service boundaries. However, this model carries credit risk, market risk, operational risk, and legal compliance risk. It is suggested to improve the credit evaluation system, strengthen risk warning, optimize internal management, and strengthen legal supervision. The conclusion is that through multi-party collaboration and effective regulation, the “enjoy first, pay later” policy can fully leverage the credit expansion effect and provide impetus for the coordinated development of e-commerce and finance industries. In the future, it is necessary to continue to pay attention to the balance between innovation and risk.
