Synthesis and Electrochemical Properties of Derivatives from Fe‐Based Metal‐Organic Frameworks

Metal‐organic frameworks (MOFs) demonstrate promising potential as electrode materials in supercapacitors. Herein, a straightforward approach for synthesizing the Fe‐based MOF (FeMOF) via a hydrothermal method is reported. FeMOF‐derived materials are obtained after the following calcination, and they convert to Fe 2 O 3 at temperatures higher than 400 °C. The FeMOF derivative calcined at 500 °C demonstrates a significant specific capacitance of 133.39 F g −1 at a current density of 1 A g −1 . The FeMOF‐500 material exhibits excellent cycling stability, retaining 74% of its capacitance after 5000 cycles at 15 A g −1 . The results of electrochemical impedance spectroscopy reveal low internal resistance and charge transfer resistance, demonstrating their superior electrical conductivity and charge storage capacity. This study not only presents a novel strategy for developing high‐performance MOF‐based supercapacitor electrode materials but also holds significant promise for advancing sustainable energy storage technologies.
