Business Model Innovation and Supply Chain Management: A Key Driver of Competitive Advantage
In the age of digital transformation, business model innovation (BMI) and supply chain management (SCM) have become essential strategic levers for companies striving to gain a competitive edge. Thus, the paper conducts an in-depth analysis of the symbiotic and interactive relationship between business model innovation and supply chain management. In the context of fierce market competition and rapid technological innovation, it aims to reveal how enterprises can leverage the synergy of these two elements to gain a competitive edge. Through a combination of a thorough literature review and detailed case studies of various companies using a mixed research approach, key strategies and their significant impacts are revealed. The results underscore that a successful integration of business model innovation and streamlined supply chain management can substantially improve operational efficiency, elevate customer satisfaction, and fuel significant revenue growth. However, challenges such as organizational inertia and technological integration barriers still remain. As such, practical guidelines are provided, alongside potential directions for future research in this area.
