Chemotherapy Optimization for Personalized Adaptive Cancer Treatment
Recent clinical trials have unambiguously established the efficacy of adaptive cancer therapy, surpassing the conventional maximum dose treatment regimens. However, current research endeavors on adaptive tumor therapy have primarily confined their analysis to qualitative assessments for a general population of cancer patients, neglecting the crucial need for individualized treatment plans. This paper introduces a personalized clinical treatment strategy on chemotherapy, grounded in the evolutionary game theory model of cancer dynamics. Distinct from prior works that have solely focused on the tumor, our approach incorporates the patient's immunity into the framework of evolutionary game theory. This integration enables us to delve deeper into the intricate dynamics between targeted sensitive tumor burden, non-targeted sensitive tumor burden, and the immune system. In our experimental evaluation, we conducted a comparative analysis between traditional treatment strategies and our personalized approach. The results of these experiments unequivocally demonstrate that personalized clinical treatments align more closely with the unique conditions of individual patients.
