Exploiting Flexibility of Integrated Hydropower-Photovoltaic-Biomass Distribution System
The utilization of renewable energy such as hydropower, photovoltaic, and biomass reduces the carbon emissions of the distribution system. However, the large-scale integration of distributed energy sources makes it difficult to accurately assess the flexibility resources at each level, affecting the security and economic performance of the distribution system. This paper proposes an optimal scheduling method for integrated hydropower-photovoltaic-biomass distribution system (IHPBDS) based on hierarchical flexibility quantification. At the distribution network layer, the objective is to minimize losses; at the feeder layer, it is to minimize generation costs; and at the user layer, the objective is to minimize electricity purchase costs. Case studies analysis shows that the proposed method can fully utilize the flexible scheduling resources at each level, enhancing the overall economic and environmental performance of the distribution system.
