Intelligent LoRa Powdered Patient Monitoring Approach based on Internet of Things Technology
The global population is aging, and senior individuals are more likely to require ongoing medical support and monitoring due to their chronic diseases. Using LoRa communication technology, this paper proposes a system to monitor and alert the health of the elderly. The system involves multiple sensors monitoring the body temperature and pulse rate of the elderly in real time, via Long-Range (LoRa) technology and attaching to an IoT network. Medical personnel, family members, and authorized individuals may all keep tabs on users' vitals and respond quickly in an emergency thanks to this feature. This study demonstrates that the LoRa gateway, together with other enabling infrastructures like the IoT, may be utilized to establish the sensor network for the purpose of keeping tabs on the aged. The infrastructure of the Internet of Things plays a crucial role in storing and transmitting data to the IoT Network, facilitating the monitoring of essential user metrics. The goal is to make it easier for sensors to transmit data to a computer or cloud utilizing the LoRa wireless technology. The creation of a prominent and smart atmosphere is one of the main challenges. Smart and connected health care is a significant component of the IoT's diverse array of applications. The patient's body is the location of the networked sensors. A novel health monitoring strategy based on the IoT, in which medical sensor data is collected and transmitted to an analysis module via secure, low-cost, and low-power communication channels that are enabled by a LoRa network framework. Besides its numerous other benefits, LoRa communication technology facilitates easy integration into existing healthcare systems, real-time monitoring of vital signs, affordability, and quick response to prevent emergencies. It also provides low-power wireless communication over long distances, which is suitable for use in healthcare facilities.
