Sliding Mode Controlled ReliftLuo Converter – Dual Output DC to DC Converter for Microgrid Application

In power electronics, high voltage gain and efficiency are important while minimizing losses. This paper describes modeling and simulation of a closed-loop voltage regulation system based on a Relift Luo converter optimized for a soft switching application. The system proposed here includes an auxiliary switch with a clamped capacitor for improving the soft switching operation, thus lowering switching losses and electromagnetic interference (EMI). The work examines the converter performance in output power, voltage ripple, and voltage gain. The analysis of open-loop and closed-loop systems is investigated with proportional-integral (PI) and sliding mode control (SMC) techniques applied to achieve better dynamic response. Comparative analysis depicts much diminished output voltage ripple and enhanced settling time and steady-state error. MATLAB Simulink is employed to test the effectiveness of the system, verifying its appropriateness for multi-output use, especially in microgrid settings that demand stable and efficient voltage regulation.
