Gravity Measurement with a Quantum Inertial Sensor for Mobile Applications
In this paper, we present the first gravity measurements on our new experimental set-up and the outlook to pave the way towards mobile atomic gravimeters. We have installed our instrument on a motion hexapod. We show a 3-day gravity measurement performed with our device in a static case. The data analysis reveals that our system can detect natural effects such as tides which create gravity fluctuations. We verify the measurement by comparing it to a tides prediction model. Then, we study the long-term stability of the experiment by removing the expected tides.
