The rapid development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies has benefited most industries, finance least of all. This work examines the integration of AI as a Personal Financial Advisor (PFA), challenging its potential to revolutionize individuals' personal financial management. AIpowered PFAs, with the use of machine learning, natural language processing, and data analytics, are poised to provide customized financial guidance, invest on automatic, track risk, and enhance decisions for people. This study talks about the benefits of AI-based financial advisory services in cost savings, accessibility, and data-driven advice and talks about the challenges such as privacy concerns, algorithmic bias, and regulatory concerns. Drawing from a critical analysis of current AI applications in personal finance and case studies, this paper highlights the evolving role of AI in financial democratization, financial literacy, and empowering individuals to make improved financial decisions. The findings suggest that AI, applied appropriately, might be able to replace or supplement human traditional financial advisors and offer a more effective, scalable, and cheaper substitute for the traditional financial planning process.
