Vibration Analysis and Calculation of Ultra-high Voltage Single Column Reactor
Ultra-high voltage (UHV) reactors are critical devices primarily used to limit short-circuit currents, regulate reactive power in the grid, and improve voltage distribution. However, their vibration and noise issues are significant, causing environmental pressure on the power grid due to noise pollution. This paper theoretically analyzes the fundamental principles of reactor vibrations, which are mainly caused by the combined effects of magnetostriction forces and Maxwell forces. Based on actual data from UHV reactors, a realistic reactor model was established. Through calculations, the displacement induced by magnetostriction and Maxwell forces was obtained. The analysis shows that the vibration is mainly on the middle column and the side column. The phase difference between the electromagnetic force and the magnetostrictive force is 180 degrees, and the effect of the action is reduced by each other. The calculation results and analyses provide practical insights for vibration reduction and noise suppression in UHV reactors.
