Application of Time-Series InSAR for Foundation Stability Monitoring of Power Transmission Equipment
With the rapid development of the electric power industry, ensuring the safety and stability of power transmission equipment has become increasingly critical. This study investigates the use of time-series Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar (InSAR) technology to monitor the foundation stability of substations and transmission towers. By employing SBAS-InSAR (Small Baseline Subset InSAR) techniques, we analyze surface deformation data derived from Sentinel-1A satellite imagery over the period from January 2018 to October 2022. The results highlight significant deformation patterns, including subsidence in the northern region and uplift in the southern parts of the transmission tower foundations. In particular, the analysis identifies key deformation areas such as N168, N169, and N170, which exhibit abnormal deformation trends, suggesting potential stability risks. This research emphasizes the importance of continuous monitoring to provide early warnings for maintenance and improve the safety of power transmission infrastructure.
